6 games are set for tomorrow as the Big XII kicks off conference season. We are here to make sure you know who we think will win.
Baylor welcomes Oklahoma on Saturday: Good luck Bears, but this might as well be a bye week for the Sooners.
The Kansas football team will once again start off the Big XII football season on the road Saturday at Iowa State in Ames, IA. Kansas comes in off of a bye week and riding a three game winning streak against the Cyclones. A win will mark the second year in a row that KU has got off to a 1-0 start in league play. It would also only be the second time in 5 years and third time in 11 years.
Gene Chizik’s Iowa State Cyclones are also coming off a bye week and are surely happy to be back playing in Jack Trice Stadium in Ames. Both Iowa State losses have been close battles. The Cyclones lose 34-31 on the road against UNLV in overtime. The other lost was against arch rival, Iowa, where Austin Arnaud set a career high for attempts, completions, and yards.
Coach John Calipari and the Memphis Tigers will welcome two of the nations top high school players and one top JUCO performer this weekend. Xavier Henry, the RSCI #2 ranked player, Thomas Robinson, the RSCI #23 ranked player, and Miami Dade JUCO star, Darnell Dodson, are all expected to be checking out the Tigers program during the weekend.
Dodson, a former Pitt commit in 2006, just recently learned that he won’t be able to recommit to Pitt, or any Big East school, due to a Big East rule. He has now opened his recruitment and Memphis was eager at the opportunity.
Thomas Robinson seemed like a lock for the Kansas Jayhawks a week ago, but Robinson decided to visit Memphis anyway and may visit USC as well. According to Zagsblog, Kansas Coach, Bill Self, made the trip to Washingington D.C. yesterday to visit Robinson’s mother.
Henry has had a roller coaster of a recruitment over the past 6 months, is still expected to visit Kansas on October 17th. From all angels, all everything seems to point to Memphis, but we are hearing that the Kansas staff still feels very strong about their chances in landing a commitment from the Putnam City star.

Zagsblog published a story today that Lincoln High school star, Lance Stephenson, is trying to set up a trip to Lawrence either October 15th or 17th. Lance is also trying to work out a trip to Memphis, which could happen on the 17th as well.
